It has been announced that Mamata Banerjee is elected as a TMC legislative party leader on May 20. She will take oath as West Bengal CM on 27th May. She was elected formally after the party stormed back to power defeating the Left-Congress alliance and the Bhartiya Janata Party in the recently concluded assembly polls. TMC bagged 211 of the 294 seats at stake while Congress-Left combine got 76 seats.
