Pondi cuisine or Puducheery cuisine is the perfect blend of mouth watering delicacy of different cultures and customs. One can enjoy a lot of seafood delicacy which can be enjoyed in the Pondicherry but being located in the south, the traditional South Indian Idli-Dosa is also available. And due to the French influence a good sneak of french wine are also served in most of the restaurants.
With the glorious past of time, the Puduicherry was under the control of the French colonial rule, the Dutch and the British. The museum houses, relics and artefacts are properly stored from those periods. Here you can find the colonial sculptures and other archaeological findings from the Arikamedu Roman settlement.
