    The Easter Monday is the most popular and interesting day in the lives of Christians. Every year there comes a holiday on this day in some parts of the world.    Well, this Christian observance is celebrated by many people around the globe as a day of rest.  There are many who take this fest as a day to enjoy the time outdoors in countries such as Australia and Canada.

    Well, if talking about the United States, then this state has its own traditions and is most popularly known as Egg Roll, occurs at the White house.  The symbols of this fest include real eggs, nests, lambs, rabbits or hares.  Not only this, Christians with strong beliefs, the cross that Jesus was crucified on and his resurrection are important symbols of the period around Easter.

    The festival of Easter Monday is celebrated as a holiday in most of the churches in the Christian religion and is lasted for mostly eight days.   At that time, it was known as the Octave of Easter and its date depends on the ecclesiastical approximation of the March equinox.

    Easter Monday is the last day of many music festivals held during the long weekend. There are a number of events that ends on Easter Monday such as the Stawell Easter Gift athletics competition; the Three Peaks Race, which consists of sections sailing around Tasmania and sections running up and down three mountains on the island; the Easter Racing Carnival in Sydney; and the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race. Easter Monday is a day to finish leftover Easter meals that were not eaten the day before.  Well, Easter Monday is a time for families and friends of the Orthodox Christian faith to relax and reflect on the past week.
