Not only in India, well in the different parts of the world the festival of Christmas is celebrated every year with gaiety and zeal. During the year people celebrate many festivals and holidays, however, it is the most awaited one that is popular among the people of all ages. Though it is celebrated everywhere, but it is a global celebration. The Christmas Eve is celebrated on 25th December every year to remember the birth of a Jesus Christ. The ‘Christmas’ comes from the Mass of Christ (or Jesus) and is a time when children give and receive presents.
The story behind Christmas day symbolizes a very deep significant truth of the spiritual life. At the times of the birth of Jesus Christ ignorance, superstition, greed, hatred and hypocrisy prevailed upon the land. With his birth, things start changing and there comes a new era dawned for the world. There is no one in the world that is not familiar with the significance of the Christmas Eve. A religious holiday is declared all over the world.

After a long period of a year, this fest is celebrated as a mark of respect to Lord Jesus, who is considered as the son of God and founder of the Christianity religion. This day of merrymaking and joy occupies an important place in the life of children. Santa Clause is the most famous character associated with the occasion of Christmas and is popular among the kids. A few days before, children started waiting for Santa to get beautiful gifts. Greeting cards and sweets are exchanged forgetting hatred, selfishness and jealousy. From the occasion of Christmas, we can get a message of Love and Peace among the mankind.
