    In the history of Christian religion, the Feast of Candlemass is the most popular event of lights with candles and crepes. During the celebration of this day, people run from a bull.  It is one of the great cross-quarter days which make up the wheel of the year.

    It is the time when fields are prepared for their first planting.  This is the significant time in the community which depends on the earth for sustenance.  During this period, the fields are purified and offerings are made to the goddess. It’s the dawn of the year. It’s the time when a woman who is pregnant begins showing. Well, this is a traditional time for new beginnings.

    The celebration of this feast includes the main element of your decorating scheme or Candlemass.  It involves a gathering of all the candles at one place or in the room and lights them all from one central candle.

    It is one of the traditional times for taking down Christmas decorations.  Many different food items are prepared which includes crepes, pancakes, all grain-based food and more.    Well, the shape of pancakes and crepes are the symbols of the sun because of their round shape and golden colour. Moreover, you can more special by lighting a fireplace, sitting around moreover, by reflecting your hopes for the coming year.  Jot down all about your passion and dreams and make them concrete in some way so that on August 2nd of the first harvest you can look on them to see that how much progress is done or how much you have successfully achieved.

    Not only this, Candlemas is a time to make pledges and commitment and is the times of making a fresh start in your lives. The various ritual acts that you can perform includes the act of purification and spring cleaning, house cleaning, sweeping the floors with salt water, banishing the gloom of winter and creating a sparkling setting for spring.
